Here's one in New Jersey!

Eco-Cruises

These are the trips you’ve heard about and read about in The New York Times, The Record and the Star-Ledger.

Come join us for an incredible journey on the Hackensack River and through the marshes of the New Jersey Meadowlands…

ECO-CRUISES
Want to learn firsthand about some of the world's most unique ecosystems? On an Eco-Cruise you'll sail to the Amazon jungle, the Galapagos Islands, the Alaskan wilderness and other untouched, and often endangered, locations. Accompanied by trained, knowledgeable naturalists you'll learn about these fragile environments through lectures and hands-on experiences. Stops at varied ports of call may include wildlife viewing, treks into wilderness areas accessible only on foot, and trips along inland waterways aboard rafts or canoes guided by local experts. For more information, visit navi-Travel today.

Those woud be sooo interesting! Right now I'm booked to see the new eco-park in Belize when we go there on the Miracle. I guess that's kind of like those commercials. I didn't make the big meeting, but I DID stay at a Holiday Inn! :D

Oh, these sound SO neat!  The kinds of vacations I've always wanted to take.  I love cruising, but I do get sick of touristy ports-I'd like to see wildlife and nature from different parts of the world!

There's an eco-park in Belize?  I'm going there in October-can you give me some info on that, Deb?

LOL!  I just realized you wrote that n 2006!  How did you like that park?

I wanted to resurrect this thread and see if we can't get some new info here!  These eco cruises would, I think, appeal to a lot of people these days.

Let's see if we can find some new info!  :big grin:

Cindy, it was pouring down rain the day we were in Belize. We never left the tourist area at the port. Shopped, had a local brew and returned to the ship.
