I did a search online for March of '09 (because that's as far as they are going right now on Expedia) and direct flights from charlotte are about $400. When I looked the other day, they were under $300 - so I think they fluctuate - just like anything else.  To make up for the price, I may fly in the morning of the cruise (since they're 3 hours behind) and save the money on hotel room. Then again, I run the risk of missing my cruise if there's a problem with the flight.

school is still in session so that will be a deal killer.  Sorry.  But thank you for the invite.  I would love to sail the Mariner and Mexico might be fun to relive my Julie from the Love Boat days.

I would LOVE to go, but that's about 2 weeks before I graduate from college. Probably wouldn't be a good idea.... ;)

If I do, would you be willing to support me in my old age? Please? :big grin: I should add that I have three kids who grow like weeds and eat like there's no tomorrow. I figure they'll owe me something by that time, but you never know!

Sometimes I do want to do just that. I love school and I love learning but with the kids, work, and a full class load, it gets to be so much. I have thought about throwing the towel in but darn it, I'm so close!

Keep going Erby..you're doing a great job recruiting.  Ya know, the cabins that I have on hold go back to the cruise line on 5/28 so we need some takers.  BAMA what's it gonna take???

Erby I think we have seven cabins gone so far and I fully expect Kristen, Rob and Sara to book in the next few days so we should be up to nine!!  I am still working on others but preparing to hit the road in a few days so I won't be able to send out nag notices!!!!!!

Denise,

Dawson and Tim Family Man are going on this ship in June '09

Eldred and I would be into going on this cruise May 3, '09,  but if we do we can't

go on the Solstice too because we don't get that much time off -- unless

we both happen to win the lottery   E is not feeling the love flying to

Florida these days.  I, on the other hand, am feeling the beauty of

the Solstice ship and the fact that it is brand spankin' new...

OTOH, this Mariner ship will be over on our left coast for a while, so there's definitely

no rush.  Too bad we couldn't convince Family Man and Mr. Dawson to

sail on this cruise, but I think the idea is Tim is bringing the kids and they're

probably not going to be out of school I would imagine, so they're going in

June.  I don't do cruises at all in June, July or August, so May seems

cool!

I do cruise duriing the summer months, either.  Lelan will be semi-retired by then, so depending on the cost, we might be able to squeeze in a May cruise.
I'll certainly look into it when I get back home!!!!

Denise,

Where are you right now?  You said when you get back home you'll look into

it.  Are you are your future FL home right now or on another outing?

Actually, I have no familiary with RCCL ships anymore, but I did find a very

nice owner's suite that I wouldn't mind having:P  RCL is pricier than Princess.

Nipper - as far as I know, Jerry is not going.  Because of his job he can't take vacations during that time due to the nature of his work.

I would love for anyone from this board to come join us. Rich has several more cabins held until the end of the month. I only booked a inside gaurantee since I'll be low on cash thanks to my Nov cruise. I figured it doesn't hurt to put a deposit down while the prices are low  - I can always cancel.
